Ingredients
- 2 lb ground beef
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 ketchup
- 1 can diced tomato
- 1 can of tomato paste
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
Mix ground beef, eggs, breadcrumbs, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce in a large bowl until well combined. This should feel like ground beef. Not overly slimy or dry and then set aside. In another large bowl mix the remainder of the ingredients and set aside. Now, Start to form meatballs, you can do golf ball sized or half golf ball sized. I did the half. Add them to a large skillet- you may need 2 skillets depending on how many balls you have made. Once the balls are in the pan turn the heat onto high and stir fry until the balls are browned all over. Now you will want to add the sauce from the other mixing bowl you set aside earlier and turn the heat to low and cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes (until meatballs are cooked through) serve and enjoy!
My notes on this recipe
This is a great recipe to have leftovers with. You can bulk up on the recipe and just keep them in the fridge for kids to heat up during the summer. They are wonderful as a snack or added into a larger meal. You can use them for spaghetti or serve with rice and vegetables.
